Travel value is a volunteer travel service platform designed for retired older people
Travel Value is an innovative retired older people travel service platform that utilises the retired older people's favourite travel activities and their wealth of life experience to help with the economic, education and cultural development of areas of China that are naturally beautiful but poor.
The challenge
As people live longer, they spend 20-30 years in retirement without work, and many of them waste their time, and therefore their lives become meaningless. It has become important to reconsider the retirement lifestyle and meet the ideal life of retired older people.
The considerable challenge facing Chinese society and the government as China enters an ageing society in 2022. How to actively address the upcoming ageing society has become a big problem for Chinese society. As designers, we play an essential role in solving these problems.
User research
In-depth research was conducted to gain deep insight into the current situation of retired older people's retirement life, the problems that exist and the ideal retirement life. As the target group is unique in that they are not flexible in their use of electronic devices, the following two suitable research methods were used.
1.6 cultural probes were conducted to help designers gain insight into the lives of target users and to build empathy with them. The gap between the designer and the target user in terms of age and life experience was reduced.
2.15 interviews were conducted with retired older people, combining the information obtained from cultural probes to construct questions. In-depth interviews were conducted to get their real thinking and sayings.

Facilitating Life Change for Retired Older People
Work Experience
1. Work as a UI designer, responsible for multi-device and multi-platform interface design including Web, iOS and Android.
2. Participated in the collaboration between various departments, docked with product managers for feature development, communicated with programmers for interaction logic and implementation, coordinated with testing, and communicated with designers for design specifications.
3. Designed the new POS interface and digital big screen for the company, which brought a stunning visual experience to the customers. And sorted out the design specifications for different platforms and interfaces for the company, so that the overall design of the company is more standardized.
1. Work as UI&UX designer, responsible for the conception of the start-up project Freelancer platform, information framework construction, interaction and interface design. Participated in the whole project from conception to design of version 1.0.
2. Had full practical experience from conception to functionality to interface presentation and built the platform framework for the company.
