Weekly Tea Bags - Monday's Midday Slumber Tea Packaging
Urban lifestyles are often fast paced, fluctuating between several moods, and a sense of routine can often be lost in the constant movement to and fro places. In order to help counter these fluctuations and calibrate young adult routines, Qianyu developed a tea brand that could cater for the flow of emotions in an average week. The “Happy Tea” brand aims to improve the mood of its drinkers by creating a set of seven tea bags with each one designed for a specific day and its corresponding mood with a unique herbal tea flavour. The packaging design and tea-tags interweave fashion with illustrations of females to target women. The result: a novel and playful luxury tea set, perfect for gifts or as a daily self care treat. Though handmade prototypes of the individual teabag wrappings were made, this page showcases the digital designs that were printed on them.
The illustrations were created digitally and mocked up using Adobe Photoshop.

Qianyu combines different perspectives, moods and tea flavours to influence tea packaging, encouraging young Chinese adults to drink tea.
China’s ancient tea drinking culture has left a legacy of the country being the world's largest producer of tea. Yet surprisingly, it does not have the highest tea consumption per capita, leaving speculation as to whether its domestic tea consumer base has space to grow. This project aims to repackage this iconic element of China’s identity as a timeless remedy to the stresses of urban living and white-collar jobs.
